7. Healthy Pancreas

Another part of our body that is of major importance but is often overlooked is the pancreas. Enzymes are secreted into the pancreas by the small intestine, where food that has left the stomach is then broken down. The pancreas is also in charge of producing insulin and introducing it into the bloodstream. The hormone (insulin) then relegates the body’s glucose level. Researchers studied a group of walkers against runners and found that former group had a level of glucose tolerance of up to six times more than the latter over a period of six months.
