15. Great Pyrenees

The Pyrenean Mountain Dog, or the Great Pyrenees, is a large breed of dog which originated in France and Spain as a guard dog for livestock. This dog really is the best of both worlds, because it is gentle and affectionate with its owners, but is also fiercely protective and will guard its owners (and their properties) with absolute determination.
