Honey and cinnamon are both well-known antioxidants and have been found to improve blood flow to the heart as well as prevent blood clots. Scientists have also found that they fight against chronic inflammation, one of the major triggers of heart disease.

Honey and cinnamon, separately and together, also reduce “bad” LDL cholesterol and triglyceride levels while increasing “good” HDL cholesterol. A study conducted on lab rats concluded that honey and cinnamon together were very effective in reducing blood pressure.
