4. Whole-Wheat

Just like those pesky low-fat foods, whole wheat products are another sacrifice that we make in an attempt to eat healthy food. I feel a lot better picking up brown bread instead of white (or even multi-grain breads with seeds in them). And while they are actually better than wheat bread, they aren’t going to do much for you if you have a gluten allergy.

The problem is that people who have gluten allergies might not even know it themselves, and take the side effects – like acne – to be just problems on their own. And however “better” it may be whole wheat and other grains like oats, barley, rye, etc. also contained gluten!

One way to figure out if a gluten-allergy is causing your acne is to avoid all gluten products completely for a week or two and see if the condition gets better.
