Diahann Carroll – Born in 1935
Diahann Carroll was a jack of all trades when it came to the entertainment industry. She was a musician and actress who seemed to be everywhere – the stage, the big screen, the small screen – in the ‘60s.
She starred in the 1954 musical film, Carmen Jones, as Julia, alongside Harry Belafonte and Dorothy Dandridge. She received massive praise for this role, and more notably, came to be known as one of the first African-American woman to play a non-stereotypical role on American television along with Dorothy Dandridge. Diahann has always been a stunning woman and age doesn’t seem to have affected that fact at all!
