2. Low Fat Foods

We think we’re making a sacrifice in the name of healthy eating when we reluctantly pick up products titled “low fat” at the super market. In fact, we’d be much better off getting the full fat versions of certain foods, because there are plenty of good fats. Certain types of food that have omega-3 fatty acids and nuts are essential to a healthy diet, and they are not the kind of fats that are going to cause harm to your health or cause acne.

In fact, it’s the other ingredients in low-fat products that’s notorious for this. For starters, when manufacturers produce foods that are low in fat, they notice one particular thing: they don’t taste as good! To compensate for this, they end up piling on ingredients like carbohydrates, refined sugar and artificial hydro generated fats.

Starting to see the issue? It’s these ingredients that are much more harmful to us than actual, healthy fats.
