Scrub Away Pan Grease

Salt acts as a scouring agent as well as a catalyst for other ingredients. When added to cleaning recipes, salt boosts the deodorizing qualities of dishwasher soaps.

If you have a pan that is coated with grease, you can try the salt trick by sprinkling a layer of it on and leaving it to do its magic for about ten minutes or so. Then, using a damp towel or sponge, simply wipe the grime away! This trick also works great for cast iron utensils.
